60+Years

Awhile back I asked if anyone would be interested in collaborating with me on some creative portraits. The first person to take me up on it was Kirsty, and the second person was one of my clients Sarah on behalf of her grandparents. Last Sunday I met up with Sarah and her parents and we went up north to the tiny fishing village where her grandparents live. Everyone spoke Doric, so I didn’t really understand what anyone said but I had the loveliest time. Sarah’s grandparents are adorable, and her granny made me mince soup, and peach cobbler, and it’s not often that I get to meet  and photograph people who have been married for over 60 years. I fervently hope that Aidan and I make it that long, and that when we get there we are still smiling at each other in the way that Sarah’s grandparents do.

A few other people have taken me up on my creative portrait offer, but I’ve still got some slots left, so if you think you might like to collaborate with me on a non-wedding related personality portrait-taking adventure let me know in the comments and I’ll get in touch. I often find my self in Edinburgh & Glasgow and all I ask is that you chip in £25 for film and processing, as well as some ideas in the brain-storming process. I’m not really wanting to do couples shoots since I get to do a lot of that in my job (Sarah’s adorable grandparents are obviously an exception); this is me indulging my creative side and getting some more practice with my new Hasselblad. Who’s up for it?

My lovely mum and dad! They are and have been such an inspiration to me and many people over the years, despite a lot of trials that have come their way they have been strong and not wavered and fully committed to each other. As a daughter they have shown so much love and support to me over the years as I have lived away from home, they have encouraged me in everything I have done/achieved, always…always positive in encouraging you to reach and fulfill your dreams in life…….they are truly my heroes!! Love you always mam and dad XX
